Investigating the effect of semi-lean amine streams on energy consumption of gas purification plant (MDEA base)

This study evaluates the effect of semi-lean amine on energy consumption of gas treatment units of BIDBOLAND refinery (Iran’s first gas refinery). To this aim, Aspen HYSYS (V.8.3) software was employed for the unit simulation in rate based method. The results show that as CO2 content in inlet sour gas is less than 2 mole percent and MDEA solution is used as solvent, using absorption column side stream (split flow) and a flash unit can reduce the unit energy consumption up to 10 percent. ... Prediction of H2S and CO2 Solubility in Aqueous MDEA and MDEA/PZ Solutions Using ELECNRTL and ACID GAS Packages

In this study, the solubility of acid gases of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide in MDEA and MDEA/PZ aqueous solutions was evaluated by different thermodynamic packages. Comparison of modeling results with a series of laboratory and industrial data released from 1997 to 2010 indicates the high accuracy of ACID GAS thermodynamic package (Aspen HYSYS 8.3) to prediction of acid gases solubility in the mentioned solutions compared to the ELECNRTL thermodynamic package (Aspen plus V8.2), especially in the range of acid gases operational concentration. ... Operator training Simulator for natural gas transmission pipeline network

Project of SS. & dynamic simulation of Iran 4th zone gas transmission pipelines (4800Km) that defined for display the dynamic simulation advantages and gas dynamic behavior prediction ability, performed by me in 2006-2009 in two levels. Lack of dispatching reports of some cities gas consumption, reduced the simulation results accuracy in first phase of project (steady state), due to gas accumulation effects (line pack). ... Read More
